By Aaron Hu

This winter many brides are looking to have a one of a kind wedding. They do it many ways from choosing the right dress to the perfect flowers and decorations. However the pursuit of perfection can be very elusive and difficult. The thing is that whenever a person sets a goal there is always the danger that they cannot achieve it. There is also the fact that even the best laid plans often go wrong. So what can a bride do to avoid wedding disasters when there are so many details to go over? Here are some great tips to help a bride reduce the likelihood of problems with their wedding.

The first thing a bride needs to do is to get organized. A wedding like any other planned event has a lot of details going into it. So keep a checklist for each need item for your ceremony and reception. Divide the needed items by what part of the nuptials they will be used for. Have list just for the ceremony from decorations to the clothes. Then have a checklist for the reception dealing with decorations, entertainment and menu. This will allow you to deal with your planning in easy to handle portions. It will make it much easier to keep track of details that may seem insignificant at the moment but may cause trouble at another time.

Recruit the help of your bridal party. The problem with going it alone is that it becomes more likely for you to miss important details. Having your bridal party helping you out with the planning and execution or marriage ceremony and reception is a great way to follow through and make sure that everything gets checked and gone over several times. It is just like having another person proofread your writing. There are always details that you may have missed in the process.

Identify potential problems before they become realized difficulties. Look in your planning for potential trouble spots or difficulties. If you know where or how things may go wrong you will be more able to prevent them. Prevention is worth much more than a cure and it will give you that much more peace of mind to know that you have taken care of any potential problems.

Have more than one back up plan. Many people have the sense to have a backup plan in case things go wrong. But what happens when the first back up fails? You have to assume and plan for the worst in each possible scenario. Make sure that you have a plan and system in place that will allow you to immediately address problems as they arise and still have your wedding going smoothly.

Last of all don't try to control every little detail. In the end even the best planning can only do so much. The most important thing you can do is not let it stress it out. You will hopefully have take the need measure to avoid trouble but all you can do is let everything take its course. Just be determined to be calm and proactive if a problem does arise. This way you will be able to have a successful wedding whether the wrong cake is delivered or your wedding dress gets ruined. The point is to enjoy this special day where you get married. - 30544
