Need Coffee, Tea & Chocolate Wedding Favors Tips?

When you are planning your wedding you worry so much about making everything perfect. That is understandable. You are putting so much effort into your plans and you will just die if it comes out less than perfect. You want your bridesmaids to wear pink but you're not sure if that color really works well on the maid of honor. You really want a particular type of flower but it's not really their season, can the florist get good looking ones? Are the floating candle bowls too snobby looking? Will my guest like the menu I picked out? You had eight months to plan, what went wrong?! Did I even pick the right type of favors? Luckily, some are much easier than others. Coffee & tea wedding favors go with some types of weddings and chocolate wedding favors go with another.

Coffee & tea favors are an easy one. A beach wedding! After all, when you are out in the sun and it is 98 degrees everybody wants a double latte, right? Ok, no coffee & tea favors at beach weddings. However, if you were having a spring wedding that seemed like an English tea party that would be entirely different. That is a nice smooth transition by keeping within the theme. Winter would go great too since they are hot beverages. Maybe even late fall would be ok. They would just be dying for it to get just a bit cooler so they can try them. Do you see now? Some wedding favor you can't go wrong with if you pick the right season and theme.

Chocolate is another one that is pretty easy to guess when they are appropriate. If the wedding reception is outside, in summer, in Texas, then chocolate would not be a good idea unless you gave them a soup spoon as well. Winter, however, would turn out great. Not only is it cool enough to keep the chocolate from melting but it goes along with the season. Everybody eats chocolate at Christmas then till it runs out. You can still keep using it till early spring, about Easter. In the later fall is when you can start, about Halloween. It makes it easy to remember if you block it off by holidays.

Another one that could be/is not appropriate is candles. Candles make great wedding favors but if you don't have floating candles on the table or serving line or a few candelabras around it won't flow with the whole theme. Maybe if you have your heart set on candles then you should just find a way to work a few extra ones in your wedding. Candles are pretty easy to do that with because they go with all things wedding. It could be something as simple as tea candles in colored glass on the tables at the reception.

You want to be happy with your choice in wedding favors. Just picture your wedding in your head then think of a small object that represents it. Don't be too literal; if you are to get married by a pond don't give goldfish to your guests. You should try a seed packet that will remind them of the flowers around the pond. That would be fine. If you get married on a beach you could give them a silver pineapple wine stopper. That would be nice. The point is to let it flow. - 30544
